BPW REVOLUTION – RESULTS

BPW Revolution had its fare share of great matches, awesome surprises and deserved victories, lets go over the show.

First, the results of the PPV, which fans called unpredictable and exciting.

  • Adam Cole def. Marty Scurll
  • Team UK def. Team USA in Battle of the Atlantic 8-Man tag match
  • The London Riots (James Davis & Rob Lynch) def. The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson), Polo Promotions (Mark Coffey & Jackie Polo), and The Marauders (Wild Boar & Mike Bird) to win the vacant BPW Tag Team Championships
  • Kenny Omega wins the BPW Championship Rumble

Omega’s win marks his first BPW Championship win and the first BPW Championship Rumble winner, which BPW have decided to make an annual event.

After the match, Omega celebrated with his new championship with the rest of the Bullet Club, including Marty Scurll, G.O.D, Bad Luck Fale and his Elite counterparts, The Young Bucks. In his promo after the match, Omega said,

“Out of everything i’ve been through, this moment will be one of the biggest in my career. After defeating 29 other wrestlers in a gruelling match, I know that I have conquered one of the wrestling capitals of the world in Britain. And Rampage, you gave it all you got, but it wasn’t enough, it’ll never be enough to defeat me.

As BPW Champion, I vow to be a champion who will defend his title at any time at any place, against any person. Try me, I will show everyone back in the locker room that I am  Kenny Omega, the man who can beat all of you, so you better think about challenging me before you do it.”

Team UK got a well earned win over Team USA in the Battle of the Atlantic, after Nick Aldis pinned Matt Sydal after 17 minutes of mayhem between the two teams. After the show, BPW caught up with Matt Sydal, captain of Team USA

“It was a disappointing result, but the guys on Team UK were the better team and did deserve the win. I want to thank my teammates, James Storm, Jay Lethal and Bobby Fish though, they gave it their 100% effort tonight and they deserve the respect they got from the crowd.”

When asked what was next for him in BPW, he said, “Well, I just watched the Rumble, and after the match, Kenny (Omega) said he would fight anyone, so I’m thinking I want to try my shots.”

Overall, BPW Revolution was a great show that the fans in Manchester and the fans watching via PPV enjoyed, and BPW can’t wait for Omega and the London Riots’ first challengers.

Roppogni Vice Breakup – What does this mean for the BPW Tag Team Championship?

On Night Two of the NJPW G1 Special, Rocky Romero and Trent Beretta broke up as a tag team when Romero told Beretta to move up to the heavyweight division and “show the world what he’s made of.”

Of course, this raises problems for the BPW Tag Team Championships, which the now former duo are holding.

To counter this issue, BPW and Roppogni Vice have agreed that the team will drop the belts, and new champions will be crowned at Revolution.

The match has been switched to a Fatal-4-Way Tornado Tag Team Match, in which the teams entering the match will be.

  • James Davis & Rob Lynch – The London Riots
  • Wild Boar & Mike Bird – The Marauders
  • Mark Coffey & Jackie Polo – Polo Promotions
  • Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson – The Young Bucks

These four will battle for the now vacant BPW Tag Team Championships. It is also worth noting that Rocky Romero and Trent Beretta will still be in the BPW Championship Rumble.

The Elite Arrive in BPW

Kenny Omega, along with stellar tag team, the Young Bucks, made their BPW debut in a 6-Man Tag Team match against Jimmy Havoc, Martin Kirby and the BPW Champion, Rampage.

Kenny started off the match against Havoc, giving out some incredible footwork between the two. Rampage tried to ambush the Young Bucks, but were quickly fended off by the Masters of the Superkick.

Havoc managed to get a tag into Kirby, who downed Omega and Nick Jackson. Omega made the tag to Matt, who battled with Kirby for a bit, before finally downing him.

Kirby managed to make the tag to Rampage. Knowing that the BPW Champion would be a threat, all three members of The Elite took on Rampage in a 3-on-1, although Rampage was able to take on all three members, a distracting accidental blow to both his partners allowed the Young Bucks to hit a Double Superkick, and Kenny to finish Rampage off with the One Winged Angel and pinning the BPW Champion.

Will this affect Rampage’s performance in the BPW Championship Rumble? Find out at the event and BUY TICKETS HERE!
